At By Rose, accessibility isn’t an afterthought, it’s part of showing up for everyone who arrives here.
I’m committed to making this website as accessible as possible for all visitors, including those using assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and other accessibility tools. I aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards and review the site regularly to identify and address any issues.
What I’ve done to support accessibility:
• Used descriptive alt text on images throughout the site
• Ensured colour combinations meet WCAG AA contrast requirements
• Included a skip to content link for keyboard and screen reader users
• Used clear, descriptive labels on links and buttons
• Structured page headings to support logical navigation
Platform limitations
This website is built on the Squarespace platform. While every effort has been made to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards, some elements are outside of my direct control due to platform constraints. These include the programmatic association of certain form field labels, heading structure generated by animation and scroll effects, and the duplication of navigation links. I will continue to review and improve accessibility as platform capabilities develop.
