I love social media *picks flower petal*, I love social media not *picks flower petal*.

If you’ve followed me for a while you might have noticed I have the tendency to disappear from social media a lot. Well, I have that urge again and I want to talk about it..

It’s not that I hate social media, hate is a strong word as my beautiful SIL would say. In fact, in many ways I love it. It’s connected me with some of my favourite people, it allows me to express myself creatively (for free and easily mind you), and it’s definitely helped me grow my businesses.

So, I don’t hate it. But I’m not loving it either.

Because I can’t stop thinking.. When did simply creating become not enough? When did we begin to feel we had to perform to be successful? Why the f*ck are we listening to people simply because they have a heap of followers? Why do we think it’s normal to mindlessly consume so much? Why do we expect people to be more present online, than in their life and creations? How are we forgetting that our individuality, creativity, imagination and expression are the greatest gift of all? We shouldn’t be afraid to share our art (in whatever that form may be) and have it stolen by someone else or AI. We are humans, not robots.. so please let a gal be whimsy.

Short story long, social media feels like the wild west sometimes.

And once again I find myself wondering.. Is there a sweet spot where social media and I co-exist happily? Is is possible to have a business and not be on social media in 2026? Can we go back to small intentional community spaces, texting and calling? Honestly, idk. Until that time, I’ll keep embracing creative chaos in order to stay sane, and see where the wind takes me.

I’d love to hear what’s in your head and heart today if you feel like sharing.

See you when and where I see you!

With love, Rose.
